There is a common misconception that body armor is only legal for law enforcement of professional security organizations, but this isn’t the case. Body armor is legal in all 50 states with ONLY the following three restrictions:
• Body Armor is illegal if you have been convicted of a violent felony.
• Body armor may not be shipped to a civilian in Connecticut. Body armor purchases in Connecticut may only occur “face to face.”
• Body armor is not intended for criminals. Wearing body armor while committing a crime will increase penalties greatly.
The Safe Life Defense armor has two additional rifle plate pockets for added protection. It is constructed with custom DuPont Kevlar, the carrier is water resistant, and features a cooling mesh liner. Safe Life Defense offers a standard 5 year warranty on their body armor.

” It is imperative that the soft panels be properly installed before wearing. In most cases, the vests are shipped with the panels already installed. Please check for proper installation. Make sure that the ballistic panels in your vest are installed with the “wear face” toward the body and/or “strike face” away from the body and in the direction of the threat.
When wearing: Adjust your product so that it is centered over vital areas and side overlap protection is utilized (if applicable). Remember that wearing the carrier without any ballistic panels being properly inserted provides NO ballistic protection.”
